Weeping Camel

To be honest, I found this one to be better. Again, magnificient landscapes and giving one a glimpse on live close to the Gobi desert is like. Both movies are slow, sometimes up to the point that one starts to wonder if actually anything is still going to happen. But where the weeping camel I found this to be annoying a few times (OK, call me a barbarian), in Mongolian Ping Pong the subtle humorous winks and the great acting of three boys makes the film more livley, without failing to emphasize that slowness and beauty is a part of live in North-western China.

that is weird, because this movie is about life in Inner Mongolia. And the Weeping Camel takes place in Outer-Mongolia or the actual country of Mongolia, where they speak Mongolian and not some dialect of Chinese.
