Does anyone know how the sequel is progressing? The last mention of it I could find was almost two years ago.

I've seen James Marsden expressing a little anxiety about the passing of time and the fact that the principles were all getting older. And this was almost 2 years ago.

shareThere hasn't been a lot of Disney sequels that I've liked. It's usually the same story told backwards. So like in this one, Nancy would want to come back to Earth and Giselle would want to go back to Andalasia. I don't think I'd like that.

Which is kinda true. Unless the focus is no on her. Which would be stupid. She owns the role.
With CGI they can make a 60 year old look like a teenager. If it's worth it to them.

It would be great if they had a sequel! And though its ideal in all other sequels to have all the old characters come back, I think the story may be better and more fun with a whole new cast of characters!
Maybe Giselle and the gang can make a cameo??

I mean if you see it there is no year mentioned nothing, so it can even make me doubt that there will be one, and still how many people from the first movie will be interesting in returning for the sequel, should it happen. So it looks like no progress as been made on anything as far as the story wise, or even casting. Susan Sarandon I would think will not be returning as her character is dead, in less they will have her be a ghost. A lot of the ones that are movie actors and actresses I can see returning, if they wanted to or even had a interest. The big question mark for me would be Idina Menzel, as she has been more of a sage actress then a film actress.
