This movie glorifies homewrecking

The first homewrecking disney princess

Sickening how Giselle was able to swipe Nancy's man.
This bothered me and ruined the message for me.

What does this tell young girls? That it's ok to steal boys from other girls?

Did you even watch the movie? Nancy thought one thing at first. But was completely fine with it at the end. For one thing Nancy wasn't YET Robert's wife. He hadn't evne proposed yet?

reply

Robert and Nancy weren't married! Robert hadn't even proposed!

If you're going to use a word, don't you think you should know what it means first?

From Wikipedia:

A homewrecker (sometimes styled as home wrecker or home-wrecker) is a person, object or activity that causes or comes close to causing the breakup of a marriage (or similar partnership). The homewrecker is said to have taken one of the spouses away from the marriage, thus "wrecking" the marital home.

In real life, you don't get to choose who you fall in love with. That's another lesson.

They were dating for 5 years. There must have been some reason they didn't get married.

reply

I don't see Giselle as a home wrecker. Obviously Robert and Nancy were in a committed relationship, and they both realized it wasn't working. Robert meeting Giselle was the catalyst for this, but I don't think anything inappropriate happened.

reply

Giselle didn't wreck anything.

Also, what does that make Nancy when at the first sign of relationship problems she swans off with some guy down a manhole!....

Si vis pacem, para bellum

reply

Homewrecking?? No offence but did you even watch this movie and I mean REALLY watch it?

They weren't married or even living together. So gisella wasn't a homewrecker. Besides, you can't swipe someone unless they want to be swiped. it takes two.

reply

Really?

First of all Robert was not anyone's property to be stolen. Secondly, they weren't even married. They were dating. Just because you date someone doesn't mean you ultimately have to marry that person.
