Can Monterey be brought back?
At this point, she's the most interesting.
Do you really think any of these are better?
Joy
Erin
Damiano
Jernard
Tregaye

She's still alive on Star Salvation (as is Yaku), so there's still at least SOME hope. Still, I think we should pretty much give up on any more winners from this show becoming a bona fide star.
shareI found her pretty boring, but then again I find pretty much everyone left to be boring as well.
Joy and Jernard (barely) are really the only ones that I could see possibly hosting a show.
Erin has her moments, but she is way too spacey and inconsistent, she gets "star struck" way too often. Damiano... I can't understand half of what he's saying, and he has little to no situational awareness. Tregaye also has her moments, but she is trying way too hard and I have a feeling she will crash and burn soon. Ana is only around to be a polemic and say stupid things that will fill up episodes.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that the contestants don't have an easy job on the show. I'm a pretty poor chef and couldn't describe the technical side of half the dishes that are made on this show to save my life. I'd fail miserably and would be off the show within the first week or two and everyone would post mean things about me on IMDB. I'm aware of that though, so I don't apply to be on the show.
Very poor/disappointing season overall.... and Bobby and Giada don't bring much to the table these days, they really seem to be going through the motions.
If you ask me practically all of these contestants are looking worse each week.
The hosts always like to say how they have grown over the past few weeks...not this year.
The stupid, unbalanced challenges don't let any cooking skills shine through.
These stars have to appeal to a wide audience and many people won't really be watching just to learn how to cook something. I know I definitely tune into food shows as a kind of escape. I watch more for their personalities than for the actual dishes but I do enjoy picking up a few tips here and there.
I really liked Erin from Holiday Baking Championship. I may be in the minority but I thought her cheeriness was refreshing. Just like I think Ina Garten's soft-spoken, slow-paced Barefoot Contessa is a refreshing reprieve from the storm of loud, obnoxious shows on TFN. But I agree, she can be rather inconsistent. But she's also really young (I think just 24?) so maybe if she gets more focused, she may have more screen potential in the future.
I actually really liked Joy! I thought she was very likable and natural. I'd love to have a Mom like her.
Jernard and his Chef of Love schtick got really irritating really fast. Same with Tregaye with her "on fleek". Sorry, but you can't create a whole personality based on a transient trend phrase. "On fleek" died out earlier this year.
