First classical piece Jenny plays??

This is not the Schubert Impromptu, but something else. (I have the complete Schubert Impromptus, and it is not amongst them) Jenny plays it on the piano in the gym, after being told to `not play that Negro music.'

It is a `familiar' and also beautiful, but I cannot place it. I have listened to the samplers of all the tracks on the soundtrack on German Amazon, but it appears to not be on that.

Anyone know it?

The scene You are talking about IS the Schubert Impromptu, but not the beginning of it; it's the middle part.
Of course it is Schubert Impromptu, Opus posth. 142 (D 935), Nr.2 (Allegretto) in A flat major, but Jenny starts with the middle part, the "Trio" in D flat major which leads in the end back to the main theme (at least You should recognize that).
