Breast Cancer Causes Fainting?

My mom died of breast cancer and I've known several people who've had it. I thought the scene where Generosa faints leading to the diagnosis was just weird. Most of the time there are NO symptoms and you feel fine until a lump is discovered. Was this just a fluke in the script of the movie?

Frabbee,
I stumbled upon this movie too. I also thought the fainting was just a poor decision/poor writing. I've never heard of fainting as an indicator of breast cancer either.

Very sorry for the loss of your mother.

I don't remember the details, but isn't the fainting unrelated?

reply

Not really, one second she fainted, the next she is in the hospital learning she has breast cancer.

reply

Hmm. Maybe the fainting was indirectly related to the cancer. Cancer was causing something that was causing something that caused something that made her faint. (Did that make sense?)
I'm gonna have to fastpasstv.com that episode

Generosa faints leading to the diagnosis

Well it's a good thing she fainted. Otherwise she never would have found out she had breast cancer.

Many people get sick from one thing and when tests are done are diagnosed with something other than what the symptoms present.

Not everyone has the same experience with cancer. It's an insidious disease. It's difficult to believe that there isn't a cure already!

Anemia can make you faint. If a person has low hemoglobin levels before they develop cancer the condition can progress into anemia.
