Grand Canyon Death Jump-WORST ILLUSION EVER PERFORMED!!!

Criss Angel enters the T-Rex and he speeds toward the jump. Once he reaches the middle of the unnecessarily massive jump the camera is engulfed in flame. The camera was then cut and it showed him in the cage for the second cut. Why do you think they didn't allow spectators there??? Explosions? He has performed plenty death defying stunts in front of hundreds of people. I will admit Criss Angel does do some crazy stuff that I can't explain but this was easily the worst illusion he has ever performed. It was all a camera(s) trick. Thats just my two cents...

That wasn't an illusion...that wasn't even a trick. It was some digitally added flames and simple editing to make it look like it was done in one shot. Probably the dumbest thing I have ever seen on television. I can't believe the guy, he's so fake.

i think the flames were real but everything about this guy is fake. ive been doing that stupid soda can trick since i was 5 years old

Also, I saw this part and yes it was really fake. I also saw a video about the "shifting" clouds on the continuous shot, then I saw the actual part from the shot and you can clearly see that the cloud shifts, as if the film was stopped, then recorded again... ALSO, where was the car? did it just disappear? It was hard to see it after those "flames", I didn;t see the car falling at all

You should seriously look into getting a color television set.

Seriously, we rewound it a few times because we couldn't believe what we were seeing...err..make that NOT seeing...there was no illusion no trick, the flames were fake ass and this was horrible. I hope this season plans on picking up some.

Criss is usually a fantastic illusionist, but his demand maybe wearing him thin and he's just grasping here. His slight of hand tricks are the best, amazing actually. I liked the walking through the gate, that was cool, the coin trick very cool....but his lack of doing these things in front of REAL spectators not just ridiculously moronic BAD actors is just insulting.

Oh to the person who said he was a "fake" you do know that Criss Angel really can't jump from a car to a cage over the grand canyon or walk on water, right? It's not "fake" they're illusions and tricks to make you think "omg how'd he do that" we all know he's not a supernatural human being...lol

He used to kind of try, now that he's in the gravy he doesn't give a damn. He's ALWAYS used camera tricks and shill audiences, he's just getting really sloppy lately. He's a hack.

First off, I'm a very big fan of Criss Angel and have enjoyed Mindfreak ever since Season 3. It's unfortunate that each season keeps getting progressively worse. The Grand Canyon Death Jump left me extremely disappointed. The most frustrating thing about it was the lack of an establishing shot. Did anyone catch that brief shot of black smoke coming up from the canyon as if to suggest the T-Rex fell the 4000 feet and caught aflame? And the fact that this was the season premiere makes me hope the next five episodes aren't as lackluster as this one--we'll soon find out.

Next time you point the finger, I'll point you to the mirror.

I noticed that and it looked like CGI "smoke" like the huge explosion looked all CGI.

And we would've seen the T-Rex plummeting to the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

I don't know how he was any fans at this point... I've seen so many of his tricks that sucked.... David Copperfield at least always tried his best...this guy....not so much.

David was all about Illusion until the fire wind tunnel....which just sucked...but it wasn't really his fault, it was more of a real stunt....something Criss would never do now that's he's filthy rich.

But if you are going to ever lie to the audience and basically beg them to believe you are using a continuous shot in some criss angel font....go home and just retire already.... it's so tiring... I watch these only because I see people making fun of it and I need to join the bandwagon just to see HOW much worse it can get. Oh...and that gate was *beep* Stupid trick as well.

I don't think I've seen him do ANY tricks that dont use editing in some way in awhile. This guy may have been good at first....but he's gone down the toilet now.

Oh yea, at the 43 min mark is the really fake looking CGi fire.

I believe the initial fire was real to cover the camera angle, then replaced later with fake CGI fire....looked absolutely fake as hell. LOL.

OMG!! I actually LAUGHED when I saw this, esp the "explosion"...I mean come on! Seriously?!? Either he's really running out of ideas or now that he's famous he doesnt want to spend all that time practicing like back in the first few seasons where things were really interesting. Personally, I think Criss is a pretty good illusionist (that is, when he is actually performing actual illusions & tricks..not busted tv editing!) Magic's main catch is the performance & he can perform pretty good & has convinced God knows how many people, but the lackluster laziness & CHEESE they've put on lately just goes to show how fame goes to your head. They had ALL season to come up with some good stuff..instead they come up with 6 ep's of about a handful of ok tricks, with a few really obvious cheeseballs thrown in & repetative footage of the lame trick...kinda like the Canyon Jump, lol, dont u love how they kept showing it over & over & over like it was the most amazing feat ever. IMO the first give was the lack of live audience, I mean they didnt even try to "edit" any in! LOL! LAME!

Truly awful. How many times did they have to show Criss doing a burnout in the TRex before trying the trick? Wouldn't they have to back up further to get to 60 mph? Why didn't we see the flight path of the TRex or the destroyed vehicle? That fake 2 seconds of smoke was b.s.

That TRex wasn't going very fast and stopped on the ramp. That's why they needed such a long ramp.

No audience, please. That was absolute garbage.

The scorpion trick was much better in comparison.
