Not sure how he does it on the TV show, but in his live shows he wears a harness attached to cables. Sadly, he doesn't even try to hide it. Right after he "levitates" down, 5 people run out on stage and unhook him. Nothing he does on the TV show is pulled off live. Possibly the worse live show I have ever seen, including shows performed on cruise ships.

Yes the levitation is used using a harness. The harness and wires are actually worn inside his clothing and the wires run under his clothes so it's not so noticeable and the show says they use very thin cables and they always try to do the trick on a sunny bright day where you know the sun shines in your eyes and you squint cos it hurts your eyes?? that's the main trick. they use times and locations where the viewers don't notice the cables because of the brightness of the sun and the thinness of the cables makes alot of street viewers fooled.
