una buena idea mal ejecutada
la pelicula pudo ser muy buena, pero le falto profundida a los personajes, el guion erea pesimo, cero graciosa, y sobre todo aburrida
sharetotalmente de acuerdo con jjddes, la sala donde la vi tenia buen numero de personas pero nada de risas, pésimo guión, pésima dirección, no se sabe si es comedia, drama, "acción" o farsa. No tiene ritmo como tampoco lo tenia la anterior película de este director, las escenas de acción están tan mal hechas que no se sabe ni de donde vienen los balazos, ni si quiera me di cuenta que le habían dado a Jesus Ocho hasta que ya estaba agonizando. Sin chiste y muy aburrida desde el titulo ya pintaba sospechosa, pero eso si, mucho presupuesto, lastima que se lo gastaron en esto.

I didn't find it boring, but I agree that the theme was a bit muddled. I don't think people should get so focused on genres, but I do feel like there could have been more overall as far as events or substance. There were a couple intentionally funny moments and I wondered if I would have missed half of them because I don't know much about Mexican culture. I thought it was odd they choose so many older guys for such a young man's mission, I assumed we'd get a lot of old man slapstick comedy out of it, but that didn't happen. I also wondered about Julian who seemed to be portraying a cliche' gangster, and certainly proved he'd kill anyone to stay in power, but otherwise didn't come off as much of a hardass and never took the opportunity to make fun of his own character.
I thought the action was top notch. I was completely impressed by both the scope of the film and the presentation. I understand portraying the modern U.S. military with all their equipment is very expensive and requires a lot of research and expertise to portray accurately. The Iraq settings were a bit of dark humor on their own portraying completely totaled buildings with not a single bit of humanity still standing. Another dark humor piece was the Americans constantly shooting at the Mexicans even after they clearly should have figured out they were Mexicans and had just rescued the American soldiers.
Overall I enjoyed this film. Quiero ver mas peliculas de Mexico en la futura, accion, horror, comedia, etc. Hacen algunas peliculas en Mexico, pero quiero ver peliculas mexicanas mas.
I really liked this movie. I thought it was well done considering that they probably didn't have the kind of budget that most main stream american film makers have. yes it could have been better. you can nit pick just about any movie now can't you.to be fair, at the very lest someone can say, this movie far from sucked. its the second best foreign action film I've seen since the devils double
shareJust picked up this film the other day and enjoyed it---it was really interesting seeing the Iraqi war from another country's perspective,and I liked how they got the team together to go in and pull out his brother form danger---reminded me a bit of THE DIRTY DOZEN fr that scene,plus the actor who played Pumita was a hottie. I'd definitely recommend this film for a relaxed afternoon on a slow Sunday afternoon!
