Interviewed Prisoners

Would anyone know what ever happened to the prisoners that were interviewed? I'm curious about the one guy that killed the girl and her son when he was drunk. Did he get executed etc.? He seemed fairly intelligent.

I check back every 6 months or so to see if anyone answers this... Oh well...

I'm curious too but without knowing the prisoners names, it's hard to research. I'm sure a few of the prisoners at this concert are still alive today, it would be good to hear or read an interview about their memories 44 years later.

You could always send an e-mail to sanquentinnews.com, an inmate-produced newspaper, and ask for any information from the 1969 concert.

Merle Haggard was a prisoner at San Quentin when Cash first performed there in 1958.

And there is the infamous Sandoval from Folsom Prison - "I have an announcement here... Sandoval, Sandoval, S-A-N-D-O-V-A-L, Sandoval, eighty-eight four one nine, is wanted in Reception."
