yes its copied from two movies ... to know about them go to indiaFM and check the review ... of this film!!!

but guess what the films better than those 2 movies ...

and if black is the best bollywood film of 2005 the EKEH is a superb film too.

BLACK WAS COPIED ISNT IT ???? HUH!

I have not see Ed Burns movie Confidence but EKEH did remind me of Nueve reinas (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0247586/), one of my favourite Argentinean movie. I cannot share similar views as other reviewers. I thought that the movie was bit of a drag. Starting credits with the touch of James Bond movies and some woman imitating Britney Spears was a big turn off. Also the lead actress had nothing to offer except for a well done making scene, for that too Fardeen Khan gets the credit as he did most of the acting. Though one good thing about the movie is Fardeen Khan, yet again he has proven that he is a pretty good actor.

from the opening sequence, you can already tell it's a copy of Confidence! It's a scene by scene copy, except for that woman pretending she's the Indian reincarnation of Britney Spears!

No, no, it is a total copy, that is it is like a cover song or something, not reminding of Nueve reinas, which although is a somewhat similar and a great movie. The film is not a copy only of confidence, but from house of games by Mamet. They are splitted half/half and glued together at the middle. I could not believe my eyes when I was watching this *beep* ! Does anybody know are there even any credits given to these movies by the so called screenwriter ?

reply

I doubt if any credits are given to the real writers. CONFIDENCE was released here in the US and it was such a wonderful concept. Edward Burns was so awesome in the movie. I felt even "Life in a Metro" was a cliched copy of Edward Burns' THE SIDEWALKS OF NEW YORK. And speak of Lolita and Godfather and Man on Fire and all --- Its crazy how these producers keep making money out of copies of big films and pass it off as 'inspiration'. Its very unethical. The real artists come up with the originals with so much passion and then others are minting money off of their hard work just cuz there is no copyright law to protect these works.

Hopefully Bollywood will have some originality in the future.
