I think that's a really insensitive question, but if I were to concede the question had merit I would say that you may be right in your observation, and for good reason. Of the four of them, T.J. is the only one of the group who is not yet on hormones. Given that significant impediment, he passes remarkably well. I know bio-guys who are bigger fairies than him.

And as to zoe-fisher, I have often thought when watching this show about if I would be able to tell that the people are transexuals. I watched the show because I think its an interesting topic. I really don't see why I'm so insensitive. I try my best to be as open as possible. However, I also like to look at transsexuals from a realistic point of view. I don't see what's wrong with saying how I think someone appears. That's just my opinion I have a right to say it, and you have a right to disagree with me. But I don't think it makes me insensitive to say it.

i just stumbled across this show and i had to come check it out and throw in my two cents.
mainly im just saying (and alot of you agree whether youd like to admit it or not) that in spite of my having enjoyed nearly 27 years of steadfast hetero behavior ...
Raci "pulls it off" in such a way that i could get over it in about an hour ...
That's as far into detail as im willing to go.
Having met everyone, they all pass really well, and in fact I personally think that they are all very attractive (Well Raci, TJ, and Lucas, cant really judge myself, but all my friends think I am way femme and cute!)

i think raci does what she does extremely well, she is by far and wide my favourite on the show. she's fun and funny and beautiful. she also reminds me of people i know in new york.
gabbie interests me immensely because to me, she can be both at any time, sometimes she is completely female but other times (like when she was ddr-ing) the ddr moves were completely male. she also has a kind of awkward guy thing a bit, but now after the show, she looks fantastic
tj is alright but has so much internal struggle, it's hard to watch him sometimes. i really hope he is doing alright.
and i really really cant stand leah, i dont think she looks any way like a boy (thats prolly cos she just turns me off as a human being) she looks like a lesbian to me. that bs about not being able to stay in her schools trans club because she feels she's gotten past the point of how far the club can go when she hasnt even started hormones yet is pretentious, arrogant, and selfish but to me it seems like everything on the show that she does is and she needs to grow up and start respecting people, especially her family.

I think Raci and Lucas were the best to pull if off. Raci is very feminine and Lucas looks more male than T.J. Gabbie and T.J. in some ways aren't believable.
shareI think they all pass, and because we were obviously aware of there transitioning we noticed here and there there "typical" characteristics or traits of the sex they were born with.
With that said you guys bag on Gabbie but I personally think that the guy who was asking her why camera were filming in class and she bluntly said she was trans, I think he genuinly thought she was a woman transitioning to be male. So for someone who was 2 feet away from her being that oblivious says something.
I think Gabbie's friend pulls it off pretty well. She's a fairly successful performer and people don't really seem to notice. When that series was filmed she was only on hormones for a few months... I haven't seen Gabbie in a year or two so I can't really comment, but she was looking pretty decent last time I saw her. Still a bit awkward though. Lucas looks really good. You probably wouldn't recognize him from the series if you saw him in person. I know a few people who have real problems with him, but I've found him to be a pretty nice guy. I've never met the others.

Gabbie during the filming of the doc was still very new to the hormone treatments so for me she didn’t have the features of a woman yet but when I saw her on the update she looked like a woman. Very pretty I might add although she still seemed socially inept. Raci really just looked too much like a woman and if I didn’t know from the doc and she would have told me she was a guy I would be in complete shock.
