very interesting character in the series. not only dealing w/ trans but also being deaf. she's so funny and not hiding all her insecurities, which makes the series very real

I also find it kind of heartbreaking that she thinks that everyone is looking at her because "they can tell," when really, she's just damn hot. And yet she can't see that. It's just like any girl, thinking the stares are spiteful when really they're complimentary. I hope in time she sees herself for what she is: a strong, smart, and beautiful woman.
Carpe Diem.
I think part of the attention grabbing aspect of her is the some would find her attractive. The other thing that draws attention to her that she sounds different because of her hearing difficulties.
She is the one I feel the most simpathy for because whatever set of circumstances that brought about this need for a change, the others are better able to cope with them, especially financial, while she is barely able to feed herself and try to be a student and deal with issues beyond what most have to deal with growing up.
