In a year when actors in films are playing gay.lesbian and tg charecters in crossover Oscar films with as much publicity as stuff like Transamerica and Brokeback Mountain it is a pity this show wasn't reviewed in a single mainstream magazine or newspaper in the whole country.
shareDaReelRickSpringfield, I think you are right. I never even heard about Trandgeneration until I happen to see the DVD on Netflix.
I have to say that I really enjoyed it. All 4 students are so interesting and really quite different from one another. (except the sex changing thing. SMILE)
I think that this documentary should have won more awards than it did. Of course that is just my little opinion.
I am surprised their has been no follow up dvd to see what happened years later.
shareI found out about Transgeneration in a short article that Entertainment Weekly did on it before the Sundance premiere. The show didn't get a lot of mainstream attention when it was airing.
