That song in the fog !

Hello All, Please tell me the name of the song which starts when these Irish men march and seen coming from the dense fog and with one guy getting the 2-wheeler vehicle along with him and many were armed. Feels like a famous Irish Rebellion song.

If anyone has this song, pls mail me a copy to [email protected]

Thanks a lot in advance.

You might also like a ballad written at the time, called "The Foggy Dew" aka "Down the Glen". It's a lament rather than a rousing rebel song, but imo it captures the conflicted emotions of the time quite well.

Many Irish people of the time were unhappy that around 200,000 joined the British army to fight in WW1, but only a handful showed up for the Easter Rising in 1916. The 'best' lines in the song [imo] capture the author's stance:
"Twas better to die 'neath an Irish sky, than at Suvla or Sud-El-Bar"
and
"Twas England bade our wild geese go, that 'small nations might be free'"

It's on iTunes, dude. But I guess you must have found it by now. I like The Dubliners version best.
