GET A POSTER FOR ‘THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY,’ THE ICONIC LOOK
AT ‘THE TROUBLES,’ PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPHED BY DIRECTOR KEN LOACH

For a limited time only, starting 2 p.m. ET Saturday (Dec. 8, 2012), we can offer to eight supporters of The Wild Geese a copy of the original film poster for the film “The Wind That Shakes the Barley,” signed for you by the always engaging, often provocative director Ken Loach and his partners at Sixteen Films -- producer Rebecca O’Brien and screenwriter Paul Laverty. The first eight individuals who donate $100 or more to our ongoing push for a new home, and a new era, for Irish heritage online, will receive a poster autographed by Loach and his team, autographed personally to you. You will receive, as well, whatever perk you select in return for your support. Here’s where and how to donate: http://www.indiegogo.com/newwildgeese

“The Wind That Shakes the Barley” is a landmark film that drew international attention to the historic roots of ‘The Troubles,’ and Britain’s role in modern Irish history. The Wild Geese reviewers Pat Jameson and Gerry Regan called the film a “lush, but unsettling, portrait of 1920s Ireland” and “a stunning evocation of both Ireland's War of Independence and the debacle represented by its subsequent civil war.” Read more about the film http://www.thewildgeese.com/pages/wtsb_rev.html and read our interview with Ken Loach here: http://www.thewildgeese.com/pages/loachqa1.html.

More importantly, and more urgently, though, make that donation NOW and grab that personally autographed poster of this iconic movie. When the eight posters go, they are GONE. http://www.indiegogo.com/newwildgeese
