Did you get it ? (SPOILER at the end of message)

I watched the film yesterday and I really liked it. It is one of these interesting films, that are difficult to put in a genre....that makes it more fun as you never really know what to expect. It keeps you switched on until the end of the film and hope you don't need the toilet as you might miss a few minutes. I really liked the acting, too. Every character was credible, even when they were extreme.

Now SPOILER AHEAD:

Did you get the end? I am not sure I did. For a moment I thought the whole thing was set up, as she seemed so grateful in the end....was it planned to let her undergo all that so that she will try to walk again? Was everybody part of the plot? But what about the body?

An alterntaive explanation is that she "cracked" in the end and got mad...was she so traumatized that she lost it and thought that was really great therapy? Her eyes look really insane when she is back in th car with her parents.

Elaborate on this..... ;-)

I didn't have the nerve to admit to the director that I couldn't work out "whodunnit".... but I have to ask...

Does anyone know who is the killer?

And to answer a previous question about the budget... it was made for £170K with most of the actor's pay deferred. If it hadn't been deferred, he thinks it would have cost about £750K.

They shot about 40 hours of DV tape, and the shooting took 4 weeks.

Just in case anyone was interested!

Hi there,

I understood that the guy who drove in the car with her (forgot the name) had done it. I was just wondering if the whole things was a set-up.....if they were all paid to scare her so much she would try to walk. or why she was so happy and cal after the very end of the ordeal.

reply

she wasn't necessarily happy, as if you watch her face later, she looks scared again. maybe she was brainwashed (much like wiston in '1984'), so she thought she didn't actually witness the body etc. does that make sense?

reply

Yes, that does make sense....and this could be one explanation.....I just wonder what is the "intended end"...what are we meant to think????
