I was working on a horror movie called "Hatchet" a few months ago and we were sharing the same basecamp location at Sable Ranch in Valencia, CA with "Night Skies". The crew we talked to during that month told us this film was a sequel to the early 90's UFO film, "Fire in the Sky".
shareIt's probably just because "Fire In The Sky" is about an alien abduction based on a true story, just like "Night Skies".
I don't think "Night Skies" is supposed to be a sequel...

Actually, that's not true. Travis Walton did remember stuff that happened to him, although admitedly the movie really warped it around. Travis Walton's real account was far more frightening.
