the terrain

Is it just me? or did the area they were in seem to be a little to green for Arizona? I did of course see that is was filmed in California. I have only been to AZ for a few minutes when I went to Hoover Dam while visiting Vegas. The area they were in was somewhat wooded, and not as dry as I would have thought. Are they areas of the state that aren't deserty?
