Ben = Hot

Come on, wasn't this what anyone else was thinking? I didn't know that in real life he was 21 and he played the kid in Air Bud! He's grown up nicely!! Haha.

reply

Oh, I know...I liked him then too. He has grown up nicely hasn't he? Excuse me, I think there still some drool I need to go clean up from last night

Yeah he was... HOT! lol... I know it doesn't say in he books...but I was kinda waiting for Felicity and Ben 2 kiss..but then again a 10 year old and a 15 year old is kinda strange

reply

I haven't seen the movie yet (somebody taped it for me and I'll see it this weekend) and I'm really excited to see it, especially Ben. I'll admit with much embaressment that I've always had a bit of a crush on him when I read the books. He's such a great character. And although it would be really bad if something happened between Ben and Felicity in the books, I could really see them getting together in the future. You can tell he respects her as an equal.

reply

I am diffrent, ( please don't get all mad at me,) I did have a crush in him while I read the books, But When I saw the movie he didn't look like Ben. It might have been the outfit.

reply

Haha, I wanted them to kiss REALLY BAD! And then I stopped and thought to myself, "She's only 10" and then I was like hmmm, maybe in about 5 years? Haha.

I live in front of the WB, so I saw the previews, and was like "Oh! That guy is cute!" and watched it, only because he was cute, and plus Gilmore Girls wasn't on.

I <3 Orlando Bloom!!!!

reply

It's funny because I'm about the same age as Kevin Zegers and saw Air Bud when it came out. I didn't think anything of him then but he's grown up nicely!

reply

I spent the entire movie wanting to kiss him (screw Felicity, I'll take him!). Course, when my friend and I were watching the soccer Air Bud movie and saw him, we scared our roommates by how loud we were squealing.

yeah i thought he was soooo hot in this movie!!!!

this is me!! so deal with it!!!!!

I've noticed that a good-looking actor played Ben in the movie and now lots of girls love Ben. I wonder if that will happen with Kit's brother Charlie if a movie is made about her. He's very good-looking in the book's pictures and they'll probably cast a dreamboat actor to play him.
That could happen with Addy's brother Sam too. He's not very good-looking in the picture in the Family and Friends part of the book but I haven't read the books in awhile so I don't know what he looks like in the other pictures. Still, I could see them casting a hot actor for the part of Sam.

HE WAS SOOOOO HOT!

Seriously, would Ben have been such a weak link if he had danced with Felicity or maybe kissed her? And, most girls in colonial times married young (like 12). So it wouldn't have been too weird.

reply

I too thought that Ben was HOT! *Shoves Felicity away* Move over Felicity, I'm taking Ben. LOL!! I never saw Air Bud, so I didn't know he was in it. The first time I saw though, was in the movie 'Nico, the Unicorn'. A cute fantasy movie, one that I keep with me. :)

It could happen. But I liked Ben in the books before Kevin Zegers played him and I'm sure there are other people out there who feel the same.

Oh yes, I highly agree. Pushing away the movie...and the fact of Zeger...and I still love the book with every one of those characters. I know it will never happen, but in the book I was hoping that Ben and Felicity will hook up. :) But then again, I am just a hopeless romantic.

reply

Who knows...if the books were ACTUALLY true (which of course they're not..lol) 5 years down the road they could have hooked up.

reply

heck, four years down the road, they could hook up. but yeah, i thought Ben was dreamy! i first watched the movie a week ago on DVD from teh library adn i was watching teh scene where Felicity enters the store and Ben is first shown and i was like "OMG!! That hot guy is Ben!? No way!!" there was a little drool puddle when i was done watching the movie :D but yeah, i kept expecting them to kiss, especially the scene at Grandfather's plantation where Felicity found Ben in teh woods and they're in the stable and Ben says, "i'll never see you again, Felicity Merriman. I thank you." i was like, OMG! Kiss her already! btw, did they ever say how old Annabelle is? i mean, shouldn't she have taken lessons when she was 10 also, still in England? it's kinda weird for her to take lessons w/ her 10 year old sister and Felicity, especially when she keeps trying to act sophisticated.

She had a private tutor, but up until girls were 20, they were supposed to have some houshold lessons. She went to the same house with them, but learned how to do different things, like music lessons.

reply

Yeah, Ben was pretty hot. Especially with those short pants (aka breeches) LOL.

I always figured that they got married. When I was a kid, I was disappointed that they stopped the series after the "Changes for __ book, so we never found out how they grew up. But the series is called American Girls, after all.

Does anyone remember that show Felicity, with Keri Russell? The real kicker is that in the end, she ended up with a guy named Ben. Talk about coincidence!
