Any word on filming?

Malkovich is filming in Chicago and no one's here to discuss? They had apparently been shooting on the Amstutz in Waukegan a couple of weeks ago. Any other news?

They were filming at Hynes Elementary School in Morton Grove. I passed by and noticed that they were making it rain. People were invited to watch the filming on June 16 from 7:00-9:00P.M.

They did film at Hynes. I was one of the extras in the film. John Goodman and John Malkovich are really great people. Malkovich, a little scary but Goodman was a good guy. He was interacting with the extras and made the kids laugh. The director of the film, lived in the house that they shot most of it in Morton Grove. This movie I heard, was based off his childhood. I dont want to spoil the movie so I wont go any farther. If it ever comes out on video or on the big screen, go see it. Its an interesting movie.

I live 10 minutes away from the "Amsteds". Waukegan is damn near close to the Hollywood of Illinois because of that one small strip. Perfect place to film a car chase scene.

If you lived 10 minutes from there then you should know it's called the Amstutz, not "the Amsteds".

yea they filmed it at hynes elementary school. i used to go there but now i go to the middle school. i went to the filming which was really cool. the house they filmed it at was right across from my friend julia's house. they wanted to shoot it at her house but her dad wouldnt let them cuz they filmed at 2:00AM but my other friend natasha and her brother got to be extras in the scene where the guys needed help and they were playin football so watch out fer that. and the house they actually filmed at is now being reconstructed.

Possible Spoiler!!!!

It's kind of a little late... but they filmed at the the director's old house, he moved out, the owners let him film there. Samantha, if you were able to stay later, one night they dropped a boat. (The storm picked up the boat and dropped it back down. It was disappointing, it didn't break much.. and it was at 2:30 ish.
