A fine line...

..between oddball/quirky & waste of 95 minutes. Sadly this falls into the latter imo. I was looking forward to it, I like both Goodman & Malkovich as actors but this one just went nowhere.
I might give it another go sometime.

dosedhost in regards to the waste of 95 minutes I may think of this movie as that at some point but I don't know. I just finished watching the movie and really need to think more about what this movie was trying to do. In fact I may need to watch it again to figure it out. Anyway after the first viewing I am left with the thought, "What in the heck did I just watch?". If anyone wants to help me out and explain what I just saw please do.

I'd go for "Waste of 95 minutes". I think it was trying to be whatever genre you'd call "The Station Agent" - one of those, "collection of quirky misfits" movies that never really goes anywhere but is still quite good fun to watch. The trouble is that whereas The Station Agent was enjoyable this was really just a bunch of unlikeable characters doing nothing very much at all.
