Crowhurst children

Does anyone have any information on the Crowhurst children?

Two are interviewed on the DVD, and they seem well adjusted and relatively at peace with the whole affair. But the film and the extras gives us no indication as to what they do, et cetera, and there is no mention of the other two.

One was a college teacher. Two lived with the mother, but not sure if the teacher was one. I suspect the teacher lived on his own due to employment. So, maybe that counts to three of the kids?

I don't know if they're adjusted. Tears were seen on the teacher son. Seems the entire affair has hurt them throughout their life.

Read the book "Voyage of Madmen" ..... fills in all the gaps.

According to the press, as of a couple of years ago, the son who appears on the DVD was actually a university technician (not a college teacher) in the UK and had a wife and two daughters. The daughter lived very near her mother in Devon, while another son, who doesn’t appear on the DVD, was a professional diver and lived in a flat above his mother’s house. The saddest part concerns their oldest son – he was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident aged 22.

It’s hardly surprising if the affair still hurts them – it is about the death of their father, after all.

Well, most people aren't suffering throughout life due to the loss of parents. We get over that because its part of life. After a few years, the memories are there but the pain goes away. In their case, its more than the death of the father. Its the manner in which he died.... he apparently killed himself.... on top of risking the well being of the entire family on a winner take all or lose all gamble.... and that he got caught in a huge cheating attempt back in the day when cheaters were looked down upon. The family would have been in the poor house had it not been for the class act by the ultimate winner who gave up his winnings.
