I was really, really annoyed by the catalyst incident- he comes home and she just tells him to get out, isn't willing to listen to anything he says, and is instantly convinced of the absolute worst case scenario. What the hell kind of marriage is that? I understand her being upset and thinking the worst is possible, but if they had any kind of healthy relationship, she should trust and love him enough to allow for the possibility of an explanation. It's not like the woman on the phone thing could possibly tie into the baby thing, why didn't that set off any "wait, what?" signals in her brain?
I was even more angry when the movie never lets it come up again. She's sorry that Jesse isn't his, the fact that she threw him out when he was totally innocent and she was throwing wild assumptions around doesn't even register. I couldn't go with the movie based on this alone. Ruins it for me. It's such a childish rom-com convention that the conflict would never have arisen if people just acted like adults/talked to each other and I hate it.
