the futbol (soccer) scene

I felt like that whole scene was completely useless and could have been done without. I loved the ending, very cool stuff, but that scene and the constant attempt at being funny with slapstick jokes just pissed me off. Otherwise, thought it was a decent, well made flick.

yeah it ruined a part of the movie for me!
the mobile phone scene

things like that didnt make the movie worth 7.5

Agreed.

I agree. I thought it was some kind of filler added to an otherwise completed story. Either an afterthought used to get the two leads to the post-soccer scene, or maybe just to make the movie slightly longer (and show, even further, the idiocy of their coworkers).

Was just thinking the same thing, what a load of rubbish... and the constant tries at comedy in the last half of the movie just ruined the mood and in many ways a quite nice film with good shots, great score and a (kind of) original script.

Yeah I thought that scene was a bit useless. Otherwise, great movie. What a fun, sexy time for you.

I loved the soccer scene, especially the kung-fu guy being horrible as a goalie. Also, in terms of the plot, the soccer game and Jenkin's injury were the reason for Ben and Sharon to walk home together, advancing their relationship.

See I really liked the balance between serious and comedy, I thought it was done very well. If it had just been another "boy meets girl" story, I wouldn't have liked it as much.

I thought it was funny.

I agree with fattehboi. The soccer game was a complete waste of time and added nothing to the movie, in fact, it brought the movie down. As did the "dress up for the party" montage. I thought this movie had potential, but these two scenes showed the movie's true colors. A good movie doesn't include scenes like this. (The movie did have other problems, but these two stuck out like sore thumbs and made me cringe.)
