Is this the perfect 'indie' movie?

This movie is exactly why I like independent films -- a character driven story-line by excellent-yet-unknown actors.

I can't come up with any significant criticism of this movie.

I know "perfect" is an impossibility and certainly impossible to define in the arts but, IMHO, this movie is about as good as indies get.

Agree? Disagree?

I agree with you Screen...

One of my favorite indie movies...

Great to hear someone else feels the same way..

Hey this movie was great, despite the silly Van Wilder movie poster (who came up with that?!). Just saw it for the first time, what a delightful surprise! Started watching based on the quirky premise alone and glad I did!

I loved how "real life" they made it feel. For instance, how the lighting in the swimming pool scenes was really unflattering (how it is in real life). Casting this movie with "major stars" would've been a mistake, because they would have probably made it all "Hollywood". I loved the strange encounter Jordan and Noah had when he had been drinking and she had been taking drugs after her gig. Or, how in the last scene, he kisses her on the cheek instead.

But I wouldn't really call Paget Brewster an "unknown". She used to be a bit underground, perhaps, but has at least gained some major exposure via 'Huff' and 'Criminal Minds'.
