As far as I am concerned this was another example of an excellent Sci-Fi show (like Firefly) getting cancelled because the majority of viewers don't appreciate complex, well thought out plots in their TV shows/movies, ie. they want the same old simple stories. This takes an overdone storyline (alien invasion) and puts an interesting twist on it. In one of the final episodes we find out that the aliens claim they are changing humans in order to save them from the radiation of two exploding neutron stars. This plot twist adds a very interesting philosophical angle to the story: are these aliens to be trusted or is this simply a ploy. I was very much looking forward to those answers. As a huge Sci-Fi fan I remember watching the movie Serenity with two of my sisters and noticing that some of my favourite parts of the movie ( because of Joss Whedon's attention to detail ) were being ridiculed by them. This was when I realized that us Sci-Fi fans are a different breed and as long as TV shows are judged, and therefore continued, based on ratings...we were SCREWED.
