They Cancelled It
It was announced on E! that the powers that be at the network were less than impressed by Threshold's performance in its new time slot and damned if they decided that we didn't need to see it any longer.

Noo!!!

See my post where I questioned "Are there were any unaired episodes" posted today about 2 hours ago.
shareWell, it was good while it lasted!
shareThis is so annoying. ALL Shows today don't get a chance to develop or gain fans. They are constantly being moved around so no one can even figure out when they are on.
Only trashy shows make it because they are usually over hyped and end up failing in the second season. Example: The OC, Desparate Houswives
I can't believe that Threshold is gone, and horribly written shows like Grey's Anatomy will get picked up.
I hope that in the future shows will go straigh to DVD and the networks will be cut out
And shows like "How I met your mother" actually get good ratings. A Joke!!!
Let's face it, the genral population has NO TASTE when it comes to quality TV productions. The few cases where they do are CSI and Lost. Good shows with good ratings. ALL of the sit-com crap out there simply blows. A waste of air time.
Goodbye Threshold!! Let us know when the DVD will be available.
"I am the Dawg_Man, koo-koo-ka-choo, koo-koo-koo-ka-choo!"
This is so unfair!! And it was just getting really intresting.

I always get a laugh from postings like the one 'georgiags' left on 30 Nov. 2005.
He stated (in all caps) that, "ALL Shows today don't get a chance to develop or gain fans." What an ignorant statement. If that were true, every show would be cancelled early. This misinformed alarmist further states that 'The O.C.' and 'Desperate Housewives' (which he misspelled) failed in the second season. He may not like 'Grey's Anatomy', but to say it is horribly written contradicts its awards or the fact it lasted many episodes (and counting) longer than 'Threshold'.
I wish people who post would get their facts straight (or 'straigh' as georgiags spells it) and turn their rants to good use, once they learn how to spell.
I agree, because trashy people like trashy shows, especially with trashy CEO responsible for keeping great show alive.
Great point about how they overload the fall season. There were just too many good shows on this season and they all seemed to be on at the same time.
Also networks should no better than to think that a new show can compete with a blockbuster.
I feel like a juggler running out of hands

I think that this show had good acting as well as writing.
It is sad that while it was getting good, they cancelled it.
But CBS.com has the website up still.
Hate it when they don't allow a show to grow and cancel it.
Damn! My wife and I have both been wondering where it AND Nightstalker went! I found out about NS yesterday when I went snooping about it online. Now this?! And they wonder why people watch Cable! Maybe that bastion of good taste, Fox, or UPN might pick them up? We're down to Supernatural now, and, Lost, but they better get that one in gear 'cos people are getting tired of wondering what the heck is going on on this freaking island?!
shareLost, but they better get that one in gear 'cos people are getting tired of wondering what the heck is going on on this freaking island?!
Lost has gotten too annoying for me to continue watching. No wonder its ratings are being threatened by so-so Criminal Minds.
What gets me is when shows do well, they move it to another day, time, etc. Then if the ratings drop any amount, they cancel it because "It's ratings were too poor to continue making it". What the hell!!! You moved it! You F'ed it up! If a show does well in a time slot and on a specific day...maybe you should leave well enough alone.
They did the SAME EXACT THING to Alias and if I'm not mistaken, dosen't that show end in May of 2006(per TVGuide article)?! This is just one of the many simptoms of emagination and creativity starved Hollywood. Hence the multitude of retarded reality shows they crank out every season.
It's as if, "Crap" were an animal and all it does is crap! Can you see the forming cirle yet?
ABSOLUTELY LIVID!!!! It was the only show I watched on CBS AND THEY DID NOTHING TO GATHER AN AUDIENCE BY ADVERTISING WHEN THEY MOVED THE SHOW TO TUESDAY--AND ONCE THERE THEY ONLY AIRED AN EPISODE
Let the Sci-fi Network or UPN pick it up.
Speaking of advertising, I was cleaning out my magazine rack today and found an old People magazine from last September. I'm flipping thru it and bam there's an add for Threshold! Funny thing is it's the first advert I've ever seen for the show. The only reason I'm watching it on Sci Fi now is because I accidentally recorded it after a BSG ep.

Greetings,
Need I say more? You are remembered.
^ So did you watch it originally on CBS? Just curious.
share
Nope. Never even knew which night it came on.
Now Hereos on the other hand was advertised EVERYWHERE and as a result I've seen every ep.

I have never gotten the chance to watch this show. But now I've caught a couple of early episodes on cable. Obviously I'm not going to stay with it nor buy the DVDs since there will be no ending to the story. People who make shows that are continuous stories need to make a final episode after they get cancelled to tie up loose ends.
shareThis is very upsetting! I have been looking forward to this show coming back and now it's cancelled!!!! POS networks wouldn't know a good show if it hit them in the face. Actually, I've also been looking forward to Invasion as well as Surface returning and it would seem they've been cancelled as well. Maybe that's why people only watch reality crap tv. At least when its cancelled you won't get hung out to dry!! Seinfeld didn't start out with stellar ratings but they stuck with it and eventually the audience grew, same with There's something about Raymond. Sometimes it takes time! If your going to kill a series I think it should be mandatory that they at least wrap up the storyline!!!!
shareI loved this show - i found it by accident - im in australia and trust they jerk shows around here too except they usually end up on at 11pm at night so you can at least record it. I taped this by accident and all i can say is WOW i loved it. It grabed me from the get go. And i totally agree with these continuing stories being canned before we get any answers. I really want to know:
- what happens to the team members affected by the signal?
- what the ^&* did the surviving member say to caffery?
- what happened to the other ship members
- what is the deal with the crystal forest
just for starters if i had those answers i think i could enjoy the eps shown much more rather than thinking those questions every time i watch an ep.

Im not even a sci fi fan of movies and shows of that sort but while i was getting ready for work, i turned on the tv to have this show on and it drawed my attention like no other, after watching the show just once somewhere in the middle i was already affected by it! Again, i dont even like sci fi crap but i do love this one! After finding out they canceled it and cbs is behind i will no longer watch their programs, not like i ever did anyways but ill make sure to skip over that channel so they dont get any ratings! I want this show to return so badly and yet i just saw this show, and here i am already dedicated to this film enough to leave comments and write cbs and sci fi myself. But this just goes to show you that all things great is over looked, misunderstood, and die young! There is more of them out there in the world then there are of us, good people who actually care in this world, and cbs is truely not one of them!
