Supernatural showrunner promises a definitive ending

Finally, Dabb hinted that the ending, whatever it entails, “will have some lead up to it.” In fact, it’s not so much a final episode as it is “kind of a final arc,” which sounds appropriate given how long this show has been going on. After all, how can the complete a story that’s been running for over a decade with a single episode? You probably need a bit more to say everything that needs saying.

So what is he actually saying here? Will the finale end like a single episode or not because it's finishing its run like an arc. Which is what it always has done?

Promises?

I remember Dabb saying, many fans won't be happy with the ending. At the San Diego Comic Con, and Jared said, so 70% of the fan base will be upset.

Again, the ending doesn't really matter imo.

Spot on about Jared, I remember him being really cross when he said that at the time. Meaning 30% will be happy, which isn't a great big percentage.

Ending doesn't matter, but at the same time I think it sort of does. We know they are possibly coming back for a Movie, or something else, in the future so at present I am not thinking too hard about an ending. As I don't want to be disappointed after putting 12 years of my life into this show. So for me, I guess the ending is important. I want to see what happens to my favourite characters after all this time on the road, saving people and hunting things...

With the show ending I feel a lot of people want to discuss it, but it's just kind of giving me anxiety talking about it. And another one of my shows is ending next week, so anxiety level x2.

It's not brilliant I get you, its just seeing peoples different opinions coming through which you think are worthy of sharing. Sorry about your anxiety x
