Season 11 of Supernatural

The Darkness does some damage looking for God and in the end, it's absolutely pointless.
I went back and forth with this season, because there's some of the "mythology" ongoing story that I enjoyed and then by the end of the season, I felt sort of cheated. I didn't understand the point of Amara being into a baby that grew up throughout a few episodes by eating souls. I'm guessing she needed a vessel. They set her up to be bad and to be something connected to the Mark of Cain, so I again thought would be a demon situation, not God's sister....

I think I've read and heard around that Season 11 was setting up to end the show and that's why God was brought in, because imo this season doesn't age with Season 14 finale. Though, I will say that looking back on this rewatch of Chuck/God I feel there is evidence for both: he is God and been a dick this whole time, also that he isn't God and took over a long time ago.

For episodes, I really enjoyed the premiere and it's "followed eps", Baby was great, Safe House was great, a few good mow episodes. But Beyond the Mat and The Chitters weren't my favorites. The wrestling one reminded me of the magician episode and Chitters just had bad actors to make me zone out almost. But honestly, for me they weren't the worst episodes of the season.

I really did not like Dont Call Me Shurley and I know a lot of people love this episodes. I don't like God being Chuck. Season 11 was when I started watching live and I didn't really care or think about Chuck being God and I felt almost sympathetic with his character, because of him being God. But now, I saw him being rude and selfish. An autobiography?? Seriously?? He wants to be called, Chuck, but titled the book, God. So, dafuk? And that crap about him turning who he is on/off, I thought, how convenient and lazy for the writers. I did not expect Robbie Thompson to be responsible for this episode, I was expecting Dabb or Buckner & Ross/Leming. Dean, Sam and the fog storyline was so slow and barley shown to make me watch God's story. And he had to sing, which gave me a headache, I really thought watching a Claire episode would give me aneurysm, but no, there was something worse. Then he decides to get rid of the fog and let Sam and Dean see him. O..........K. From there on the episodes were OK, but I sadly continued to be disappointed with it's mythology and it's build up to destroying the Darkness somehow, but no, lets have God and his...sister hold hands and disappear and not even fix all of the souls she's eaten and the people she's killed. F%$#

Eileen is introduced, who also happens to be a MOL legacy. I thought she was a good/ok character, I'm currently in Season 12 and I'm thinking of the wasted potential by killing her off.
We also meet Billie, who really...really doesn't like the Winchesters and first time we hear about the Empty. Though, she appears throughout the season, she seems very laid back. I kinda feel they do a 180 with her character. I feel like she knows something, so I hope there is development with this in season 15, otherwise it's just another plothole/unresolved point.

So, Lucifer...again. It's not as bad as season 12, but I thought it was weird with the cage and no mention of Michael and Adam. I think they brought only Lucifer into that cage, so maybe that's why. I thought these 2 episodes were very low key. I thought Misha did a great job at playing Lucifer, it was a nice change imo. But, the whole Chuck/Lucifer, parenting crap, I really felt it was too animated if that makes any sense. There was a lot hanging out in the last few episodes and not lets get this done.

Overall, I think they ruined a good opportunity with the Darkness as the big bad. And if this was the last season, I would hope it would've ended with Amara's damage being cleaned up instead of throwing (the writers) their hands up in the air like its not their problem.
