Season 14 episode count
Only 20 eps. I guess it's only 2-3 less than usual but do you think there is a reason for only 20 episodes?
I mean, more episodes could be ordered later on.
From what I have read on the net, it appears J2 want more time off to spend with their families, which is understandable. They have recently I think been in negotiations with the network. Only downside to this means longer breaks in the summer to compensate. Its long enough as it is. Trying not to be selfish, and know how hard it is on the boys, the hours they work, time is precious and their kids are growing fast and want to spend as much time with them whilst their young. They also both have businesses which could be another factor that they are needed there more since it appears their businesses are doing well. I just hope it doesn't mean that the show is winding down as some fans are fearing.

We'll lucky we are getting 20, there are some shows out there that only have 10-16 episodes per season. I know Supernatural is a "full season" show, but still.
I know Jensen has that brewing company, but what's Jared's?
That's what I thinking when I learned about the 20 episodes - are they preparing this to be the last season?? And I wonder what they are going to do for the 300th.
Jared own's a bar. J2 were going to go into business together but some legal jargon got in the way and they abandoned the project which was a shame. Not sure about the 300th, as I felt let down by the 200th. I just hope with the good writers we have now, its something special which is well scripted. Not what we had with a made up cast. I don't mind a shorter season if its the boys decision and not the networks to cut it back. I also noticed that Jensen is featured in person on his web page, but Jared is not mentioned anywhere on his site. Both projects have had loads of money put into them and have had good reviews from fans.
