Is there any other shows you guys watch on The CW schedule, just curious.

Nice we are still on the same day, I like Supernatural on a Thursday.... Roll on October!

reply

I still watch iZombie - it's my favorite show on the CW.

reply

I watch:

- The Flash, my favorite show on the CW this season and on any network, period;
- Jane the Virgin, another addiction of mine;
- iZombie, suuuuch a fun show;
- Supergirl, for my weekly dose of mindless entertainment and Krypton-based lore.

Come 2018 I'll add:

- Black Lightening

to my roster lol. CW's actually my most watched/favorite network!

What's Black Lightning all about Vee, not heard about this one??

I was looking forward to watching Dynasty remake but now since I've seen the trailer not so sure.

Here's the Black Lightning trailer, Belle.

It's about a retired superhero and school principal who puts his suit back on to fight crime. It has a big angle on family because he's married and has 2 daughters.

I was also looking forward to watching Dynasty, especially since they cast Grant Show as Blake (I loved him in Devious Maids) but after watching the trailer, I won't bother. New Fallon is insufferable whereas Pamela Sue Martin had some depth to her and 'Cristal' is an obnoxious and defiant goldigger when I remember Linda Evans playing a character that was kind, naive, and easily overwhelmed. Hard pass on this remake lol.

reply

Thanks for the trailer and input Vee, might give it a go.

reply

Have you watched The 100?, its my favorite show of CW after Supernatural. Should also watch The Originals
Stopped watching The Flash, Arrow is still tolerable

reply

Hey Veloxy. I never watched The 100. I heard nothing but good things about it except for the ire caused by the way the showrunner chose to kill Lexa. I'm just not sure if it's a show for me.

It sounds like a survivalist-type situation where people die a lot and based on the shows I listed, I like my entertainment fun, easy, sunny and breezy with a side of fluff lol. I also have this thing where I immediately like a lead actor or not (ex. loved Barry Allen at first sight, could never get into Oliver Queen) and I don't have the kind of warm and fuzzy feelings toward The 100's leading lady, I believe her name is Clarke, that usually make me fall in love with a show.

That said, I will give it a try one day because the friend who told me that Jane the Virgin and iZombie were great shows also recommended The 100 and I loved the first 2 so I'm open to the possibility that she might be right about the 3rd one too ;D

I tried watching Arrow and I couldn't get through the pilot. I only watched one episode since then and it was the one from the Dominators invasion DC-crossover. Oliver and his team were stuck in this fake reality where he was marrying Laurel. I enjoyed that episode, mostly because I've like Katie Cassidy since she played Ruby 1.0 on SPN :)

I saw The 100 for the first couple of seasons and was impressed by the storytelling until it got a bit too boring for me. Similar battle scenes to survive and killing off good characters put paid to that show. I need a new show to grip me, and there's nothing out there. I didn't care for Arrow wasn't my type of show. I also looked into Gotham and that didn't inspire me either.

reply

Didn't like Gotham either but then again I'm not a fan of anything Batman-related.
If you're looking to be inspired, I hear Game of Thrones and Outlander are pretty epic.
I've watched a bit of Outlander and I'll catch it here and there but I'm not a faithful viewer or anything. Never watched GOT and don't plan to but it's very popular...

reply

The 100 might not be your kind of show, IMO its a very underrated show, i think you should give it a try

The 100's Season 4 was better than anything Produced by CW this year. Had a very impressive Season finale, season 5 looks very promising.

Season 3 is Kinda rocky, but keep in mind, it gets better. if you can get past season 3,you are in for a treat.

reply

Bella have you tried Legion? one of the best debut series of this year.

Legion (tv show): David Haller is a troubled young man diagnosed as schizophrenic, but after a strange encounter, he discovers special powers that will change his life forever.

You should also try Jessica Jones. Has a very lovable Antagonist.

Jessica Jones (tv show): A former superhero decides to reboot her life by becoming a private investigator.

reply

No, I've not, Veloxydiedora thanks for the nod. Will look at this too. Perhaps it might engage me. I find these days my concentration isn't brilliant so if I am not hooked fairly soon in, I tend to give up. Supernatural is one show that has me gripped year in year out. I want to be drawn in and stay.

reply

I watch The Flash and Arrow. Although I've tired of Arrow's constant flashbacks and to be honest some were confusing. I've read they're going to stop that and just deal with the present. If so I'll probably go back to regular watching.

reply

To be frank I am disappointed as it means they have to keep it toned down showing at 8.00 p.m. I was hoping for a 9.00 pm slot. Stephen Amell tweeted that he was glad Arrow was at nine so perhaps they could be a bit more adventurous or some such wording. As I am in the UK I tend not to watch CW programs although I did watch the 100 for two and a half seasons but it got very annoying as they had some of the leads doing really stupid things (ring a bell!) so gave up, but it started very well. tried Arrow - not for me at all.

reply

Yeah, I was hoping SPN would go back to its rightful place at 9 pm. It's just not an 8 pm show and I'm so annoyed the CW continues to move it around to benefit other shows. You'd think their iconic record-breaking show would have earned enough respect to AT LEAST hold on to its traditional 9 pm spot.
