The Future of The Show

I love Supernatural but kinda hate how the last few seasons have been.. I think season 13 may be the last but I do wonder, how many more seasons does everyone else think it can go? Honestly I think with the current writers if they keep going in the same direction fans will hate it..

It is very hard to say right now. J2 have said repeatedly that they want 300. There was a fan uproar for more and they went on to say it was a milestone and not an end. That would put it at episode 13 of season 14. However, that was before some fans started becoming vocal about the direction of the show. Right now is not a good time for the show at all. Many fans voiced how much they hated this year, there seems to be some major drama with Mark S.'s departure and Dabb finally responded to some of the hate tweets he has received. Jensen said he would stay as long he was happy. So far he hasn't mentioned any problems and has even complimented the writers. Jared should obviously be happy after last season. The only thing that might truly derail the show is the ratings but even then they should be able to limp it to 300. After that J2 wants to do mini-seasons of 4 to 8 episodes and that could go on for years especially if it is on Netflix.

Personally, after I heard him say about doing mini-series, the show could go on for EVER. As long as the storytelling is strong which Jensen has always stated it will last. Fans hated what Carver did to start with after S8 it settled back down and became strong again. I think the same will happen with Dabb. I am disappointed in Dabb, I thought he would come up with strong story lines than he has. But at least the brother's are not keeping secrets or worse have been separated for any length of time. So congratulate him on that score. Sam not looking for Dean S8 was the worst thing this show has ever done. And I think if they don't make huge canon mistakes like this, they will be okay.

When and where did Dabb do this?

What did he say? Was he defensive? Dismissive? Can you share some links?

It's on his twitter feed @andrewdabb. He responded to Berens and some of the hate in general he tweeted "This seems like it's bad for the show... so much anger... so much need to hurt...". I'm not great with twitter but apparently Dabb has gotten a lot of negative tweets sent to him. Well deserved IMO.

Glad he's feeling the heat and realizing that many people are angry.

That tweet was in response to Berens tweet about DAY FOUR WITHOUT COFFEE. I think he was joking.
