Real Killer(Kind of spoilers, but show was cancelled, so not really)

This getting canned sucked, I enjoyed this show. Now I read that Sam's kid was going to be the killer, then I read they were going to think Sam's kid accidently killed her, and then Craig's father actually kills her when he is in the room alone. My only problem is I was under the impression that the killer was one of the friends. Now, I am all up for surprises and twists, and I guess making the killer not one of the friends is what they were going for. But I just feel myself, better story lines could come out of the whole thing if one of the friends had been the true killer. And who knows, it could have been, just because they said the killer was going to be Sam's daughter, doesn't mean thats true.

That's what makes me angry with them canceling this show. It had a great plot, I mean, I don't know what they would've done once they reached 2005, but that's besides the point. The could've easily played around with the time slot, and see if it found an audience. They just gave up on it. That's why Fox sucks for the majority...they don't mind airing shows that you know will be crap, but gives up on something like this. I was so into this show, and now finding out who might've been the killer, is a really good twist. Maybe they should've aired it on ABC or something, seems like it would've done better. But, they probably thought that with Fox having The OC, a younger crowd would gravitate towards that network more than any other. IDK!!!

To the first replier, I never said they said it was a friend, I just myself when watching it thought/expected it would be one of the friends. In my opinion it should have been one of the friends, just to see what storyline could unfold, and to why all the friends were covering it. To the 2nd reply, yes I hate fox giving up on shows. I am all into Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and at one time they were all talk to cancel it, thankfully they ordered the back 9 episodes.

Shortly after the show was canceled, someone wrote to "Parade" magazine and asked that very question. According to Parade, it was the daughter who did it.

it can't be the daughter... if you watch the unaired episodes she died in a fire with her adoptive mother

According to articles I read online the daughter, and adoptive mother, faked their deaths. That was a rumour I had read after the show was cancelled.
