I never actually watched this show, but I'm curious. Was it cancelled? IMDB says it's "2005-????", so does that mean it's coming back or what?
shareYes, it was cancelled due to the merger between UPN and the WB to CW. Apparently, it didn't fit their new lineup. If you can catch it in the future, make a point to watch it - it was great!

IMO, OTH and 7th heaven were such wastes of spots on the CW. Well written and well acted shows like Related and Everwood should have had those spots.

shareRelated was an AWESOME show I was really upset when it wasn't renewed. But it seems like that's what's happening with the flow of shows these days. Like VMars got cancelled after its' first "official" season on the CW and I loved VMars. I don't think that shows on the CW have longevity unless the fans really petition to keep it on, like I've heard with the Gilmore Girls and OTH. How 7th Heaven came back for an 11th season is an utter mystery to me.

Unfortunately, it's not coming back. I met an actor from the show a few months ago (Chris Carmack) and he confirmed that it was gone and never coming back. He also told me (before Fox released the information) that The OC was being cancelled too.
shareI really dont understand why 7th Heaven was renewed and Related was not. Related's rating were growing that last 4-5 episodes. The finale had more viewers than Everwood's and Charmed's. It was over 4 million, and thats pretty dang good for the CW.
I love VMars, but I think Related would have done better after Gilmore Girls than VMars did. Or they (cw) should of had Tuesday be like a super girly night and air GG, Vmars, and Related. That would have been awesome.
I miss Related so much. It was my favorite new show of the 2005-2006 season.

I agree. I loved "Related". My Mom, sister and myself would sit every Monday and watch. It was so easy to "relate" to. ha-ha. I miss it. I hope at least season 1 comes to DVD.

is it pathetic that i still miss this show a lot? it was just soooo good. and so funny. and so different than any other show i'd ever seen. ah well.
shareNo it's not pathetic cuz I miss it too. I really enjoyed Related, I thought it was well-written and the characters were unique and interesting.
shareI was getting into the show as it was cancelled. I loved the sisters and their relationship with their dad. I liked the stepmom as well.
