Moonves... Idiot
Because I haven't written that in such a long time.
shareYOU SAID IT!!
By the way, what WAS the reason this got cancelled especially after they ordered the full season and filmed all the eps, leaving 8 unaired eps still out there!
The ratings were good for OOP, and the show was worlds better than Rules of E and Old Christine, which was it's mid season replacement. OOP was probably better than "Big Bang" even though those shows are so different it's not a fair comparison.

A: Underneath my Grandmother's dining room table.
When the show moved the Wednesday nights (with little marketing), the ratings were low. The next week it was shelved. The ratings had been very good for a freshman show, but Moonves (in his infinite wisdom) pulled it off the air. No one understood why.
shareI have a theory as to why the show didn't make it. With a lead gay character on a network show, the ratings have to be pretty darn good for it to stay on the air. Lots of shows have come and gone with gay characters on them. Will and Grace and ER are the exceptions because the shows gave the network very high ratings.
shareThe show was in the top 20 until it was put on hiatus. They received awards. I don't know what else the producers could have done to make it more viable.
shareExactly. It got great ratings and I was baffled about the whole switching nights idea after it was already on hiatus for two months! With veterans like Winkler and channing, as well as the popular Ty Burrell (who is great on "Back to You"), I'm quite shocked it was even being thought about being cancelled.
Like you said, (beep) you, Moonves!
