Was the pilot ever actually aired? the only reason I ask is because in watching the second episode (the five people you meet in hell), it seems like the fbi agent from the pilot doesn't recognize kolchak. is it a different agent? what's going on?

I know this is a little late, but yes, the pilot was aired and yes, it's a different agent, played by a different actor.

In the pilot, John Pyper-Ferguson played Agent Fain. In the second episode, Alex Carter played Detective Granof.
