This show was much better than Reaper

I thought The Loop was great! It had very sharp writing with rapid fire lines that were very clever. It had a great pace to it and great characters. Phillip Baker Hall's character in particular was great, always barking at Sam as "Thesis!"

Frankly, this show puts Reaper to shame. Once Reaper established its unique premise (was it really unique? Both Family Guy and The Simpsons did takes on this concept and I'm sure there have been others in film or anthology shows like Twilight Zone/Outer Limits), it became soooo formulaic. As other people mentioned it fell into the "freak of the week" routine. That's so borinng and repetetive. I'm glad it was cancelled but bummed that the Loop was too.
You see, We all lose. The Loop lovers, and the Reaper lovers.

I liked The Loop, but I like Reaper more. In The Loop, Sam's brother always wrecking things up for him kinda gets repetitive. Both were pretty formulaic; with The Loop, he always gets a real good thing at the start, something happens to mess it up and get him in trouble, then he always finds a lucky solution at the end.

Both very enjoyable shows. and with the recent demise of Breaking In, the 3rd Bret Harrison show I liked which was cancelled. :D

I liked both shows, but I prefer Reaper.
