I love the show and other characters but Ted is just terrible. He's uninteresting, arrogant, self-centered, extremely picky, dumb, ...., etc.
The writing is great but I would just kill his character. I even hate the actor. He's not attractive at all and he often claims that he's attractive in the show often times.

Same. A very self-centered guy. Every time one of his friends has a problem, he turns it around very quickly so they can focuss on Ted's "problems" again. Ugh. I never understood why a guy like Barney could have been friends with a guy like Ted.
