Perfect final scene

Although season 9 was the worst of the show in general, mainly due to stretching a wedding weekend to 22 episodes while squeezing in the last two episodes many important stuff (and making kind of pointless most of that we saw before in the season), the last scene was perfect to me.

Everyone dislikes the ending but someone had to say it. Yes the final episodes could have been handled better and not feel so rushed, but Ted under Robin's window again after so many years from season 1 was very emotional and made the relationship come full circle. Tracy was fine but we didn't know her so we didn't care much. Ted and Robin's relationship through the years was the main focus of the story and even his kids told him that in the end.

Plus, i was always dissapointed that from the first or second episode he called her aunt Robin and we knew right from the start that she wasn't the mother, so i loved the twist that they supposedly end up together.

i agree that the final scene was perfect but

in a way i cared for tracy since the longer the show ran the more i thought "the mother" had to be this absolutly perfect match for Ted (wich she was)

I hate this episode, but i really like the final scene.

It really showed how he came on too strongly and was in love with the idea of Robin while she passively waits and gets back to the exact same thing later. Nothing says true love like one party being nonchalant and one being over the top in love with an idea over a person. I think people confuse "full circle" with "retreading ancient ideas and copying off something that once worked in an attempt to look cool."

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.
