I'm big fan of "Friends", "The 3rd rock from the sun", "How I met your mother", "Community". The sitcom with a group of weirdo. But I recently couldn't find a one keep my attention.
I've tried "Frasier", "Will & Grace", "Big bang theory". However none of them could make me stand to last episode.
Is anyone who know similar soap show like HIMYM could recommend?
I've not seen it, so I don't know if I'd consider it good, but I'm sure I've heard that How I Met Your Mother was at least somewhat inspired by the British comedy Coupling, so you could try that.
If only this was the future, and my sitcom was airing - it's heavily inspired by How I Met Your Mother...

shareCoupling was great, but very different in terms of humour to HIMYM. (And even more so to Friends, that it was often compared.)
It's a lot more sex-based than the previous too. And a lot of the humour comes from the difference in attitudes that man and women have to sex.
The problem is, many of the other ensemble shows that were decent were cancelled after only a couple of seasons. It's very frustrating.
Happy Endings is good, but they messed around with season 1, playing it out of order so it makes no sense. I went back and watched it in order (after finding the running order online) and it was so much better!
The league is great imo
shareDefinitely try "Parks and Recreation" if you haven't seen it. It isn't very similar to How I Met Your Mother, but if you said you are a big fan of Community, you're probably going to like it.
shareI've never seen P & R, and I get the feeling I'm missing out. I really like Tina Fey (she's not in it, of course) and Poehler always seems to have a twinkle in her eye, like she's just about to say something really funny.
If I ever figure out how to stream and binge shows, I'd like to start from the beginning.
I started watching The Big Bang Theory a few months ago and love it! So many of my friends are shocked I am just now watching it.
You can try "New Girl".
Zooey Deschanel is kinda annoying for the first couple episodes, but they tone her down some after that.
Otherwise, it's pretty good.
Also agree with the "Parks and Rec" recommendation. It's great.

shareYeah, but her shtick becomes a little monotonous after several years. People were actually relieved when Zooey took a sabbatical during her pregnancy. Other than that, the rest of the ensemble is hilarious.
I'm surprised nobody on here recommended Arrested Development (2003 - Present).
Community, watching again for the second time.
