Give it a new day, Fridays are death!!

This is a great show! I have heard all the rumors about it being canceled and if they are true I will be very upset.

This is another case of a great show not getting an audience because of the night of the week it is on. Fridays are the worst night of the week (next to saturdays) for a show to air. Friday is like a death sentence for a television show. When Boston Public moved to fridays it was canceled less than 1/2 a season later. 8 simple rules only lasted a season on fridays (yes I know John Ritters death hurt it much worse).

This show needs a new time-slot and needs to be given a chance. There are hardly any comidies on TV anymore. The airwaves are dominated by dramas. This (besides Will & Grace) is the only comidie on TV I watch anymore and I watch a lot of dramas.

Lets try to get the message out that it needs to be given a chance on a new night!

Thats what I was thinking with 8 Simple Rules! I personally think it was MUCH funnier with John Ritter- but they cant really bring him back. Still, I feel the timeslot is what made the show get cancelled. It was funny, but it should have been another time in the week.

It had a couple of Tuesday airings, and it tanked on that night...
