I'm curious about where you're getting your information. It doesn't say anywhere on the FOX site that the show was cancelled. Heck, the FutonCritic reports that FOX isn't even announcing its 2006-2007 line-up until May 18. Are you sure you're not just assuming that it's been cancelled since it won't be airing after this week? Free Ride is a mid-season show, so it is simply ending it's run with the season finale on the network tomorrow; that doesn't not mean that it's been cancelled.
Oh, and to TheMegaFactor: I really find it ridiculous that you would go to such lengths just to diss Erin Cahill & others. You post the same, mean-spirited comments in multiple threads. I pity you, that you have nothing better to do with your time. Also, you should have read IMDB's rules before you registered. It clearly states that there shouldn't be any hateful comments. Thing is, yours aren't just personal opinions; they're truly disrespectful.
The show has been cancelled, if you check the official site it says that tonight is the series finale. What I don't understand is why they are only cancelling this show because it's ratings have been slightly lower than Family guy. Does FOX really think that they're gonna beat the competition sunday nights at 9:00? Hell NO. They should have kept this show after american Idol instead of that piece of crap "The Loop" - they would've had better ratings.

Yes, the one time that I say that you're being disrespectful you get all riled. Erin happens to be a good friend of mine, so I don't see it as having "nothing better to do with my time." The sad thing is, is that she's actually nicer than me and would never say what I want to say to you: Bite me.

Huh. So it does indeed actually say "Series Finale". Thanks for pointing me specifically to where it says that! Well, Erin said today that they're still seeing if FOX decides to pick it up in May. But, the ratings haven't been great, so.... At least it got a six-episode run! Thanks for the info, shinesinpines.

haha man come on two words pink ranger. ever since i was a little kid power rangers has had a legacy to live by...that is we need to make the pink power ranger super %$^&ing hot so that little boys will fantasize about her for the rest of there lifes. im more of a kimberly guy but damn Erin is fine plus she could kick your butt. i belive every thing i see on tv

Free Ride and the Loop may be bad shows but they got some hot women in them like Erin Cahill, Loretta Fox, and Mimi Rogers...
and i liked these shows better than some of the other dumb comedies that are on TV today...

shareThis show was done by the guy behind 'Significant Others,' which had 6 episodes per season (only 2 seasons). I like this trend: 'Campus Ladies' ended their first season with 10 episodes and both 'Starved' and 'It's always sunny in Philadelphia' had 7 episodes each ('Starved' won't get a second season though). Less episodes are actually better than having 24 episodes per season but only a couple funny ones. BTW, 'Free Ride'is way better than 'The Loop'!!!

I hope this show doesn't actually get cancelled. It is really really funny especially for all the college kids that watch it and realize that that could be them when they are done with school.
Hope there is more to come.
I hope this show stays on. I can see how some may not enjoy it, but as I have really found it interesting. Nate is just freaking hilarious, and I can relate to this character by also sometimes feeling like the one sane person in a group...probably most everyone has felt like this hahaha.
Dove is a wonderful parody of "that guy" that most everyone knows or has known at some time. Enough said.
And the Amber story makes sense to me. She's a young girl with life supposedly laid out for her, now along comes this goofy guy who is just interesting enough to make her wonder about what she's doing.
The parents are killer, the whole breaking up sex thing the other night was fantastic. Sure, they are a bit over the top, but this shoe does well for me by getting a bit silly at times. I'd much rather see that than something trying to get a bit too serious for no reason. And American Dad? What in the hell is that crap....start taking drugs, they will rot your brain much more slowly!

shareYep. The webpage on fox.com has been taken down. If you go to http://www.fox.com/freeride it redirects you back to fox.com . The Loop however is going strong. The page is still up and message boards are alive with people talking about the show. There is even a petition that we all signed to send over to fox and let them know we want the show back next season!

It's a shame this show was cancelled. It was quite funny and entertaining but such is the life especially for mid-season replacements. FOX has a knack for sacking series that should continue. The humor of this show was not the in-your-face slapstick (well maybe Dove was a little like that) but more subtle in it's approach. Oh well, I can't wait to find another series to watch on FOX that will eventually get canned.

shareTrue I liked Undeclared, unfortunately Fox and the other Idiots at Corporate Land decided they would get more ratings and money with so called "REALITY SHOWS". That was a big mistake I no longer watch TV because of that kind of thinking has become an Epidemic with the networks.
BTW Doesn't Erin Cahill look like that girl from Scary Movie franchise?
And For some reason she reminds me of that Pink Power ranger girl.
