Hey everyone...
ABC is admiting that "Freddie" was a good show and they messed up... now they are looking for a "Freddie" show. lol Why don't they get the "Freddie" itself. I think it's still good show, better then what's airing now anyway. If anyone interested how I found out, just ask, i will come back and tell you where I read it.
I agree that there was potential for a really funny sitcom here, but it definitely needs some "re-tooling"...the writing was weak and most of the supporting cast sucked.
shareHow can you say the rest of the supporting cast sucked? Chris was hilarious!!! The sister-in-law (can't remember her name) was wonderful as the drunk pill popper. Sophie was good as the sister. And who could speak ill of Grandma? She was so funny.
My favorite part with Grandma was when she would say, "Sophie, come here." Sophie: "No." Grandma: "Sophie, come here." Sophie: "No, you'll hit me." Then later that episode Grandma and Freddie went through the same thing.
The only really weak spot was Freddie's niece, and even then she was pretty good.

I was surprised at how much I liked Freddie. I was pissed it had been canceled. They cancel an entertaining, funny sitcom like Freddie and keep *beep* like Ugly Betty, WTF?
This was a good show. Don't know why they cancelled it. I remember reading the ratings were decent too.
shareIt was cancelled because there was a guy on the crew of the tv show that didn't like the actress Tamara Braun. Such a abomination.
shareThat sounds incredibly farfetched to me, it sounds about as credible as that BS story that Masiella Luscha was forced off George Lopez because she wasn't Hispanic. The reason it got cancelled is because the ratings just weren't improving enough for ABC to justify renewing it.
