This show has the best music

I don't think any other show can compare to the quality of music they feature on this show. It's one of my favorite things about it. Anyone else agrees?

Try Cold Case. That is if you like cop dramas.

This had great music in it. Someone brought up Cold Case, that show also had good music.
Going back further, there is a show from the 90s called "New York Undercover," that had great music as did Miami Vice from the 80s.

reply

Yes, I love the music too.

Those are both good shows, but I think the best show to feature music would be "The Wonder Years". It was very acturate with the time period and storyline.

The one thing about "Everybody Hates Chris" I think is strange is how they would sometimes play music that is off from the years the show is suppose to take place in. Like one episode they played a tune recorded in 1989, but it was Brooklyn 1982,and another song from 1992.

I know it's minor, but I find it a bit odd.

I'm glad somebody brought this up because I've been trying to find the name of this one song and they played it in the Cutting School episode, can't find out what it is. The one where basically you just hear the singer going 'oh! oh! oh! oh! oh!' and I remember when it was advertised on those 80s CDs on TV the footage had the band and they were wearing like some kind of orange outfits and had really pale teased hair and was right at the front of the stage by the audience. Sorry I don't have anything more specific to go on, anybody know what it is?

reply

Yes there is one song I can't find either, Chris goes to a party and is trying to get off with a girl there, in his dreams they smooch but in reality not - the best way I can describe the lyrics is something like I'm begging you and Chris is on bended knee I think. It's real soul 70's type song to me a bit like the Chi-Lites, Stylistics or Delfonics. Anyhow if anyone knows the tracks that novastra and I are searching for let us know!

reply

Hmm.. That might be the episode when Chris kissed that cute neighbor girl during a dream. That song was "Saving All My Love For You", by Whitney Houston.

In the Halloween episode when he was dancing with this older girl at a party the song playing in the dream sequence was "Ebony Eyes" by Rick James and Smokey Robinson. In that episode, Chris did not kiss that girl, he just serenaded her by lip syncing.

Novastar 06,

The song playing at the beginning of the episode "Everybody Hates Cutting School" is "Things Can Only Get Better", by Howard Jones.

I know I'm a few years late on this question but do you know the name of the artist or song that was played @ the end of the 'Everybody Hates Sausage' episode when the kids and Julius was trying to hold Rochelle off Tonya at the dinner table for not wanting to eat her sausage?

reply

I looking for a song they play during the opening credits of everybody hates basketball episode. I want to the dvd version not the syndicated one. I know Evelyn Champagne King is singing on the original version.
