Julius: Could he be Chris's stepfather?

The character of Julius have 3 jobs, and they own a building So why it seem like whenever Chris ask him for something he say no, or make him pay for it himself, yet when Tonya or Drew ask for anything, he o.k with it. He nice to Chris and all, but someone how I do not think he was Chris's biology father, but maybe he is Chris Step father. One thing that stand out for me was the Christmas episode. Where Chris had brought present for the whole family, but was too sick to get it out of layaway. Julius got Chris's presents out of layaway. Julius got a present for the mom ,Tonya, and Drew, but didn't get anything for Chris. He did that more then once. What kind of father would give a gift to everyone in the family , yet leave one son out? There was other episode similar to that one, where he would buy something for Drew and Tonya, and not get anything for Chris. It's never been establish on the show, but I think Julius wasn't Chris's father. Chris was the only one who had to do chore. Chris was the only one who had to work. Drew and Tonya never had to do anything.

So does anyone else think that Julius might not have been Chris's natural father, but was only his step- father.

I don't know. All I know is that my oldest brother was treated the same and my father was his bio dad. Sometimes the oldest boy wasn't treated like a prince and heir but more like the lowest ranking adult in the family. It happens.

I have older brother and sisters, and my father would never by a present for everyone and leave one of us out.

Tanya was only 9-13 during EHC. it's easy to see why she didn't have a job. drew was 10-14 during EHC. Same reason. chris was 13-17. it's very easy to see why he had a job. He was old enough to wark part time after school.

When Julius worked to Mr. Omar he bought true presents to Drew and Tonya and a pack of garbage bags to Chris. A biological father would never do it.

Exactly!! It's pretty clear that Julius treated Chris different from Drew and Tonya. He hardly ever ( I do not remember if he ever did) gave Chris Christmas presents, when he gave everyone else in the family a presents. He always demand that Chris work, and do chores, but he never expect the same of Drew.

Lots of eldest children are treated in a similar fashion, especially if the age gap is enough (and money is tight) that the eldest is expected to care for the younger child(ren). They become kind of a premature adult, with many of the responsibilities and expectations placed on them, but none of the privileges or perks.

And it can cause resentment in the oldest child when they feel they are being treated unfairly. While it may seem perfectly logical to the adults, the teenager may just feel mistreated.

He doesnt treat Drew any different than Chris. Its only Tonya that gets everything from her father.

Drew gets everything from the mother, not the father.

Also Chris gets to go to the good school. Neither Drew nor Tonya get such a priviledge.
