A tv show gets a big advertising blitz for the premiere then after airing 1 episode it gets cancelled I can't recall anything like this in my lifetime

In the 80's there was "Roxie" starring Andrea Martin, that was a sort of spin-off from "Kate & Allie" that got a big build up only to be immediately canceled.
