Does anyone else notice that Heather Graham is the kiss of death?

Seriously, anything she's in seems doomed for failure and just BAD. The ONE exception being "Boogie Nights," but let's face it: the rest of the cast made that movie good. She carries no credit.

What about Scrubs, Austin Powers and The Guru? I liked her in all of the three. Ok Scrubs is just a great show, it was before and it is still after her appearance, Austin Powers is stupid but funny with or without her, but I liked her role and acting in The Guru.

"Ya, well, so was Hitler."

Twin Peaks and Swingers. She hasn't been in a lot of good stuff after that though.

She's talented and likable. I think what hurts her is that she can be overpowering. She has such presense that I fear she'll never be able to do secondary characters very well since we'll be looking for so much more from her. That and she's picked some less-than-stellar roles. But she's one great movie away from a resurgence.

She was decent as a cameo in Sex and The City! But, seriously, I agree. She seems to overpower and to pick bad roles/movies. I didn't mind her in The Guru, but I hated her in Austin Powers.

I like and admire HG as an actress, and agree with justin-243's remarks. I disagree strongly that she was no good in Boogie Nights. I also assert that she was great in the following worth-seeing (if you like HG) titles - in all these her presence added something positive and unique:

License to Drive
Drugstore Cowboy
Twin Peaks
Shout
Diggstown
Desert Winds
Toughguy
Kiss and Tell
Swingers
Nowhere
Two Girls and a Guy
Austin Powers
Committed
Say It Isn't So
Sidewalks of New York
Killing Me Softly
The Guru
Anger Management
Hope Springs

I've yet to see her more recent films. I've not really a problem with her in her other, earlier films that I've not listed here, but rather find something lacking or problematic in those films themselves.

She's sexy as hell especially for an anglo but the roles and the movies...damn...

I was rooting for her to be the next Meg Ryan, but then came "Bowfinger." Bad move.
