Fred Savage as a gay character
Just the fact that Fred Savage plays a gay character is enough to make me want to watch this show.

shareI've been checking up on this show for so long and i had no clue that Fred Savage's character was gay until tonight, it doesn't make no difference to me though, it just brings a little something more for the show.

I think him being a closeted gay adds a dimension to gay sitcoms that hasn't been explored yet. Could be good.
shareI think it's cool that Fred Savage plays a gay character, but please don't let him be in the closet to his family for the whole series. That would not be cool at all.
shareI wouldn't worry -- they'll find out at some point. As seen in the pilot, Mom already knows (Moms always know). However, when the skirt-chasing men of the family find out, that'll be some good comedy.
Cheers, all.

I like that fact that they were comfortable enough to make him a gay character, but didn't feel they needed him to be over-the-top to be believeable.
shareI thought Fred Savage was a great lead. And the fact that he was gay was well put across.
But I didn't laugh during the pilot, so I have no reason to watch any more. I like my sitcoms... funny.

Can anyone tell me the name of Mitch's therapist? I know his face but cannot remember his name and what show he was on previously! Thanks
shareI can't believe I missed the pilot! But I saw the episode last night, and I was very impressed. I think this show could be great.
And as for Mitch being gay, I'm glad that it's sort of a side plot to the family dysfunction. It's adds an interesting depth.
