It looks like we at least get to hear B&B say "I love you" a couple of times this season. Maybe no kisses, but at least we get this.

reply

Thanks!

Booth's I love You is in 12x10, hello Buck wig😂😂 Wonder what ep Brennan's is in?

They aren't the cheeriest of I love You. But I will take it 💕 💕 💑 I think Buck & Wanda are holding hands too?

reply

Wow - It took me awhile to find 'Buck' but I finally did! Brennan's looks like it could come in any episode. They may not be the cheeriest of ILY's but they appear to be heart felt. Brennan's NOT in uniform! Her's appears to at home and could be any episode between now and 12. Buck and Wanda appear to be each in a car and he is reaching out to her in the other car. So they each must 'drive in the derby' and this is the episode with Wyatt, interesting he is reassuring her in that situation.....

Lol, I have to look again! Where is that part?
I could not find Buck in that clip and I even went frame by frame!

The one I saw with Brennan, she appears to be very upset when she says it.

It's like right after Brennan. You do have to go slow to see him! I stopped it and went back a couple times before I caught it.

I wondered if it made anyone 'less worried' about episode 8? Because I don't think the tension between them is because of their relationship, but kinda appears to be more the outside forces that are perhaps trying to kill them?? That would be kinda stressful! 

No, it doesn't make me less worried about episode 8. I'm not worried that B&B will break up, or be apart at the end of the series. What worries me is that Sully is back in town (apparently while Booth is out of the country) so there is the possibility of emotional cheating by Brennan. No amount of "I love you" or even kisses will make up for that, imo. Fingers crossed the writers don't go there.

Also, not to rain on the parade, but let's remember that Bones has put out promo clips in the past that never made it to the episode, so I'm not going to get my hopes up.

My toes are crossed too! I just don't want them to drag down a character I have loved for so long with stupid writing! Brennan is better than that imo.

Well I'm not giddy or anything, just trying very much to be hopeful, that seeing these two scenes that were filmed - show that the intention (if not aired) is to not go too low in episode 8. But then again.....HH went pretty low in episode 13 in season 6 - I never thought they would go that low either........ so when I get worried I think of that.

I feel like I'm on a seesaw some days!

reply

Whatever we think would be romantic or awesome, they tend to think the opposite...so I'm nervous. But sometimes, even the new guys get it right, so I'll be cautiously hopeful. 

Same! I start thinking that there is no way they would write a story about Brennan cheating. Booth and Brennan worked too hard to get where they are to throw it away, she is head-over-heels in love with her husband, they have two kids, etc... so no way would she cheat.

Then I start remembering Peterson's words...rift, reverberations, fans will be stressed, Brennan is emotionally unstable, whatever happens will rock her to her core, make her question who she is, and while all of this is happening her old flame Sully reappears while Booth is away. Then I wonder, would they really go there? Could they, would they, write this story as a last big test of B&B?

The seesaw goes up and down.

I think the statement from Peterson that I find most troubling is when he said "I'm really curious how fans will react." He wouldn't be curious about fan reaction to heart-warming, romantic, or sweet B&B scenes, so it must be something else. It sounds to me like he took a big risk with the story and is "curious" if fans will like it or not.

Ahhh, yes. I had to look that episode up. Daredevil in the Mold. Booth proposes to *cough* Hannah. However, I do like the bar scene at the end between B&B. And season 6...alls well that ends well. 

Yep. Yep. B&B are struggling with grief. Ok. But don't bring back someone that Brennan use to have sex with when her husband is in Canada. Someone is getting the cold shoulder in this episode and it won't be Sully

Seriously! Send Booth to the Great White North, while Sully is in town to comfort Brennan. Where is the throw up bucket???

It would be a nice twist if it was in fact Booth who calls Sully back to watch over Brennan while he's gone. And Brennan will be pissed off she's being babysat.

I would love it if this was how the story went. I keep going back to the fact that Sully, Booth, and Cam already knew each other when he first appeared on the show. Knowing Booth is one thing...it makes sense that they would have met at the FBI, but how and when would he have become friends with Cam? In New York when she was a coroner?

Also, I'm trying to prepare myself for the Ep. 8 promo that will air on Tuesday night. I'm very afraid that they are going to try to make it look like Brennan is cheating on Booth, or that he has something to be jealous/suspicous of. I hope not!

Same. Dread.

Brennan is married with two kids. Never did I think that this would be an issue, ever. Thanks Peterson, your love letter is like an ugly chain letter

We can hope *hope* Fox might have more sense and promo the episode without trashing B&B relationship.

Probably the same way that Booth knew Cam? I thought Booth was working with the NYC office of the FBI....wouldn't Sully also have been there? Or perhaps visited from DC. What office did Sully come from in s2? I have to admit, not liking any of the early Cam episodes or the Sully ones. The Las Vegas episode and the ones after Sully leaves are like the only ones I'll repeatedly watch from s2! LOL So I don't rate Sully or Cam background info as very important.

These guys will rewrite history anyway. Maybe Cam slept with Sully too! 

They don't even KNOW the original history, let's be real. They will just make up something totally new.

Yes - they can always do this with Sully and/or Cam. One thing I am hoping will assist in making episode 8 not too bad (aside from it being written by Rosenthal), is that Peterson had a hand in writing Repo Man in the Septic Tank during Season 9. That is the episode where Brennan made her wonderful testament of love to Booth during the car ride. Even if those words were from HH and/or SN at the time, hopefully Peterson watched and remembers that episode! At least we can hope that is the case until we see the preview and the episode! 

reply

I was interested to see what episodes Karine Rosenthal wrote:

*The Girl with the Curl
*The Headless Witch in the Woods (co wrote with SN)
*Bodies in the Book
*The Secret in the Soil
*The Baby in the Bough
Yanks in the UK (co wrote with Hart)
*The Con Man in the Meth Lab
*The Hero in the Hold (co wrote)
*The Doctor in the Den (co wrote)
*The Plain in the Prodigy
*The Rocket in the Rinse Cycle
*The Babe in the Bar
*The Blackout in the Blizzard
*The Twist in the Twister
*The Suit on the Set
*The Woman in White
*The Cowboy in the Contest

To me Karine is hit and miss.

She wrote that horrible Sully & Brennan episode in S2 were they basically rubbed Sully & Brennan in Booth's face the entire episode, starting with a Brennan & Sully sex scene and closed with Sully & Brennan kissing as Booth watched on. I mean it was a nasty little episode for Booth. Brennan was not giving one crap about Booth she was only focused on Sully & her book. Same for Con Man episode. Brennan was written like she had an lobotomy. She was completely dense to Booth's feelings towards her dating Jared. Kissed Jared and believed Jared's take on Booth to the point she thought Booth was a loser. And her speech at the end didn't make up for her crap treatment of Booth during the episode.

Seriously. I really do not like how Brennan was written in those two episodes. At all.

Yanks episode Brennan got hit on by Ian
Witch episode Brennan had a date with a killer
Cowboy episode Brennan got hit on by some old cowboy which she thought was OK and enjoyed
Babe in the Bar episode Booth ran off to have sex with Hannah rather than celebrate Hodgins & Angela new baby announcement 😞

Only episodes on that list that I think are OK for B&B are Baby in the Bough, Suit on the Set and Wedding episode ( though the vows were Emily & David's input) Hero in the Hold was good (yet we got a flat out denial she loved Booth) Blizzard was good especially the end scene...

Yeah. I don't think Karine is any better of a writer for B&B than the others but that's just me. The fact she wrote that S2 Sully ep makes me nervous & that they are going to make Sully more important to Brennan than he was. Ugh 😷

reply

Yep, I'm afraid they will do exactly that. Sully wasn't there that long, and she didn't leave to travel the ocean blue with him, so they didn't have an amazing connection. However, I'm afraid that's how they will write it. How I wish they would write an ending scene where Sully leaves again, Booth puts his arm around his wife, and they walk off together...but I know better than to wish for things like this. 

reply

Yep yep. After what they did to Aldo all bets are off in how they rewrite cannon

A fling she had for a month ten years ago, I mean really, if he was that important why was he never seen or heard off in 10yrs? They want to sell that he meant something to Brennan then they should of brought him back S3 or S4 not S12. I am going to vomit if they have him "fix" Brennan's emotional mindset in 12x8

End scene prolly will be Booth returning from Canada not knowing what kind of reaction he is going to get.

I can't believe we are going to get not only B&B with a rift but they separated them most of the episode too by having Booth exiled to Canada. Plus bring back Sully to rub more salt in the wound

I mean really.

Agree. End scenes do not "not* excuse the things that came before. Its like making a beautiful omelette with rotten eggs 😷 I truly hope they don't ruin Bones for me, for us. This storyline was totally unnecessary
